I rowed for Boscastle and Crackington Gig Club and we came 4th in Group E and came 52nd overall. This is my fourth year of taking part in this really enjoyable event and hope to take part again next year.” By Miss Tilley
KS2 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT – “On the 10th May Mrs P and Mr White took two football teams to Budehaven to take part in the KS2 Football Tournament. The first team was Jacob, George (top goal scorer and captain), Albie, Kewben, Fin, Max, Konner and Charlie M. We won all of our group matches without conceding any goals, getting us to the final. Unfortunately Bude scored with 30 seconds to go winning the match. The second team was Charlie L, Willow, Rory, Phoebe, Emmilyn, Izzy, Sophie C and Stan (super sub who filled in at the last minute). They came joint 5th but enjoyed the experience of playing.”

PARENT ASPIRATIONAL ASSEMBLY – A big thank you to Mr Newton, Mrs Pryor and Mr Michaels who came in to talk to the children in assembly.
“Yesterday in assembly a few parents came in, they talked about what they do for their jobs. They explained to us that they all had to use maths and English. One was a nurse so they worked in a hospital. The nurses had to check how much medicine to make sure it was the correct amount. Another parent had three jobs; one of them was a lifeguard and he had to do a lot of paperwork he couldn’t just swim out and save someone. The last parent made booklets. The assembly really inspired me.” By Isaac
“On the 10th May some parents came into school to tell us how they use English and maths in their every day jobs. None of them liked English or maths at school but now they all have to use it every day.” By Sophie C
