“We went to Holsworthy to do an in-house competition. We both won a medal out of all the year 3’s and 4’s, Keren got a bronze medal and Mia got silver medal. We all did really well and it felt amazing to achieve individual medals.” Keren & Mia
To our fabulous swimmer Lily who has been awarded the STA 100 metres & super star certificate and badge.
To Stan who has been awarded the Surf Life Saving GB National Pool Championships 2019 Team Manager award & medal.
CLASS ATTENDANCE – Well done to Class 1 who have won the March award for highest % attendance with 95.61%. With the really nasty flu virus that has been circulating school, March is currently our lowest attendance month for the whole year to date with a class percentage between 92.06% & 95.61%. We hope that everyone will be back fighting fit after the Easter break.
100% ATTENDANCE – In Celebration Assembly today certificates were awarded to Lenny, Coby, Willow, Alyssa, Nancy, Chloe, Tyler, Jago, Lewis, Charley, Ethan, Stanley, Darren, Summer, Freya, Gabe, Amelia, Maisy, Evie, Ben, Megan, Charlie, Fin & Lauren for 100% attendance this term and Drake, Bea, Alexia, Isla, Joey, James, Leo, Tilly, Lottie, Hannah, Annabelle, Maisie, Mia, Amelie, Daniel, Zoe, Louis, Willow, Ruby, Georgia, Charlie & Lucy for 100% attendance this half term. WELL DONE to you all.
BUDEHAVEN SPRING CONCERT – On Wednesday evening the choir; Nancy, Maeva, Wren, Mia, Freya, Emily, Heather, Lily-Mae, Niamh, Ella, Sophia, Megan, Kayleigh, Fin, Taryn & Evie was, once again, amazing. We had additional children singing who couldn’t join us in Launceston. Also some musicians; Nancy, Maeva & Megan were playing with the Marhamchurch First Steps group who you hear rehearsing on a Monday! All thoroughly enjoyed themselves, performing so well!
KS2 TAG RUGBY TOURNAMENT – “Yesterday our tag rugby team; Albie, Kewben, Fin, Charlie M, Charlie L, Maisy, Ben, Millie, Lauren, Pearl, Kayleigh and Stan went to Budehaven to compete in a tag rugby tournament against other Bude area schools. We won the first game against Bude 3. In our second game we won against St Marks 6-2. Then in the final we played against Bude 1 and won 4-3 which meant that we won the tournament. We all felt really proud of our achievement and were awarded a trophy.” By Albie & Kewben
PSFA EASTER BINGO & EASTER EGG RAFFLE – Thank you to everyone for your support; donating eggs, purchasing raffle tickets & coming to our fun Easter bingo. Congratulations to all the egg winners; children were given these on Monday to bring home. We raised a fantastic £255.00.
END OF TERM EASTER SERVICE - Everyone is welcome at St Marwenne’s Church today, at 1.15pm, for our Easter Service. Children will be brought back to school after the service and then dismissed to parents, school will finish early; at approximately 2.15pm so if you are unable to come to the service please ensure you are outside school by 2.15pm so that we can hand children over. Thank you.
ASPENS SELECT – It is now possible to order meals after the Easter holiday so please log on and order your child’s school lunch in advance. If you have any problems, please speak to Mrs Cogdell in the office.
PARKING – Please could we remind parents to park with consideration and not in local resident’s driveways at the end of the day. Thank you.
MORNING ROUTINE HEALTH & SAFETY REMINDER – Parents and children should not be coming into school in the mornings for any reason. Children will be brought in by their teachers after wake & shake the only exception is if it’s raining.
CLASS 5 PSFA CAKE SALE – Wednesday 1st May Please could we ask parents/children to donate cakes, tray-bakes or biscuits for the cake sale. The proceeds will all go to class 5 to choose how they would like to spend the money.
